Opening a Bank Account

We can open bank accounts quickly and easily both for new business start ups and existing businesses wishing to transfer their accounts to The Royal Bank of Scotland.

What do we need from you ?

To enable us to open a business account we will normally ask you for :

  • Identification – two or more of driving licence, passport, recent utility bill, recent bank statements, credit card statement, credit card.
  • Confirmation of your address – recent utility bill, bank statement or credit card statement
  • Your authority to carry out a credit reference search.
  • Certificate of Incorporation for limited companies (as held by Companies House).
  • Account opening mandate (a copy will be provided by your Relationship Manager).

Remember - If you are moving your accounts from another bank we can help streamline the process and take care of regular payment instructions such standing orders and direct debits.
