The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc has completed the sale of Gartmore Investment Management Plc, its fund management business, to Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, a diversified insurance and financial services group based in Columbus, Ohio in the USA.

An announcement that an agreement had been reached for this transaction was made on 30 March 2000.
