NatWest Retail Banking

NatWest’s retail bank offers a full range of personal and business banking services to over 7.3 million personal customers and 850,000 small business accounts.

NatWest provides customers with a choice of when and how they do their banking, from:

  • visiting one of the 1,600 branches in the branch network
  • calling the 24-hour telephone banking service
  • accessing cash and account information using one of 3,400 NatWest cash machines or accessing over 27,000 machines across the UK
  • using a full Internet banking service which includes access to a range of NatWest personal and business services online

NatWest is committed to enhancing the quality and range of services it offers. Personal banking initiatives include abolishing the Bank’s previous branch closure programme; abolishing the £5 overdraft fee on current accounts; dropping all fees on NatWest cash machine withdrawals; launching a basic bank account for the financially excluded and is shortly to launch one of the best student accounts on the market.

The bank's ongoing commitment to small businesses has seen the introduction of dedicated relationship managers who remain in post for four years with no charge for management time. The Bank also became the first high street bank to launch a committed overdraft for small business customers.
